Shelby

Shelby has been a member of our family and our home since Christmas of 2004. What a great Christmas present she was (and still is!). She was born in October of 04. She now weighs in at about 14 lbs. She is brindle and white, but her color lightened and then darkened again over the years, especially when she has pups.

She is very loveable...she likes to cuddle. She also loves to play, just ask our senior citizen cocker spaniel! Sometimes she wants to play when our cocker spaniel would rather take a nap. But the two get along very well.

We recently had a littler of boxers. Unfortunately their mom's milk did not come in well. Even though we tried and tried to save them, 5 out of 6 of them died. It was so sad. After the 5th one left us, I grabbed the last puppy, said a prayer, and took him into the house. He was one week old. Shelby's pups were 4 weeks old. Shelby adopted him with open arms! He is now doing very well.
