Hunter is not only gorgeous, sweet, and loves to play...but you'll find he has a very unique story to tell! Scroll down to find out more!

A month earlier, our house dog, Shelby, had pups of her own. After the 5th puppy died, I said a prayer and took the remaining puppy, Hunter, in the house and gave him to Shelby. He was the most resilient of the group, always on the "hunt" for milk. To our relief, Shelby took him as her own, now his "adoptive" mom. Now, as you can tell by the pictures, he is doing great! Our vet has given him a clean bill of health.
Since Hunter was a week old, he's been raised in our home. He had much fun playing with his adoptive shih tzu siblings! Now they are all placed in loving homes. Since he missed them terribly at first, we have given him lots of extra love and attention. Often you will find our kids playing with him, or Brandy or I cuddling him while we watch TV in the late evening before bed. Now that he is weaned from Shelby, he loves to "puppy play" with her as well.
Since we have him around the family often, we've been working on potty training to save our carpets! He is doing quite well. When put in the grass he immediately looks for the perfect spot. You'll still have to consistently work on house training when he gets home, but much of the work will have already been done for you!
